Curtis’ combined passion for communication, education, business, and design has led him to build a unique career as a college professor, corporate consultant, author, speaker, and information designer. Curtis has led corporate workshops, presentations, and strategic communication projects with organizations on five continents, training and presenting to students and professionals in topics such as leadership communication, integrated marketing, data visualization, and presentation design. Curtis the co-director of a master of strategic communication program; the developer and owner of the popular communications blog TheVisualCommunicationGuy.com; and an industry expert and live online trainer for O’Reilly Media. Curtis has collaborated with organizations such as Discover Financial Services (Delaware); Utah State Legislature (Salt Lake City); CollegeBoard (Chicago); Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (China); Havas Health Plus (New York); Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation (South Africa); and many others. Curtis holds a PhD in Rhetorics, Communication, and Information Design from Clemson University.
